State of the Art Animal Hospital for Haddington
The Links Veterinary Group Haddington surgery moved into our brand new purpose built premises on the outskirts of Haddington on the 29th July 2009 and started business on the 31st.
Regular clients of the Links Veterinary Group who attended our previous Haddington surgery in Court Street will be all too aware of the need for us to move site. This has long been the aim of the practice but has only become possible with the recent acquisition of a site conveniently located between the A1 and the A199 as shown in the map below.
The acquisition of this site enabled us not only to build the Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre but also a purpose built state of the art small animal facility to replace our current premises in Court Street.

Improved Access and Space
It will come as no small relief to our clientelle that the new Haddington Vet Surgery has more than adequate parking and extensive space for our ever expanding range of Veterinary Services, Veterinary Diets as well as other items you may require for your pet.
Stress Free Experience
Central to the design ethos of the new surgery was to make a visit to the Links Veterinary Group a pleasurable and stress free experience. To this end there is sufficient waiting room space to enable cat and dog owners to sit in distinct areas to keep the animals as relaxed as possible. Equally we now have four consulting rooms to keep waiting times to a minimum. If your pet needs to stay in for treatment or assessment then the building incorporates separate dog and cat kennelling areas each on opposite sides of the building to keep noise related stress to a minimum for both dogs and cats.
Two Separate Operating Theatres
Our procedural area is designed to incorporate 2 separate operating theatres both to aid throughput and also to keep specific procedures separete for contamination reasons. For example we are able to perform a particularly 'dirty' operation (maybe a severe dental infection requiring teeth removal) well away from a very 'clean' operation (procedures where sterility is of utmost importance like neutering operations).
Imaging Suite, Biochemical & Haematological Analysis
Located near to the procedural area is the imaging suite containing the digital XRay facilities and both endoscopy and ultrasonography equipment. A dedicated laboratory area houses the biochemical and haematological analysis equipment along with microscopy and pathological facilities.
On a less clinical note we also have well overdue access to meeting rooms, staff rooms and office space which had previously been denied to us by the very nature of our previous surgery building.
Opening Date
We are NOW OPEN at our new site at Alderston Field, Haldane Avenue and look forward to seeing you there!
