Louise Higginbottom

Louise Higginbottom

Louise is our manager at the LCRC and is the first point of contact many clients will have with the centre. She has worked for the LCRC and formerly the Links Veterinary Group since 2005 and takes direct responsibility for the day to day running of the rehabilitation centre.

Her daily work involves all the reception duties and daily/weekly hygiene jobs as well as taking a hands on approach to the rehabilitation of patients under our care under the direct guidance of Maeve Grant. Particular interests of Louise include the management of cases immediately post-operatively both on an in-patient and out-patient basis as well as being a staunch advocate of strict weight control in our pets both by dietary planning and exercise regimes and is always available to help people even through phone calls or email with their overweight pets.

Maeve Grant

Maeve Grant

Maeve is one of only a small number of fully qualified human physiotherapists who are registered with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy. In our opinion ACPAT registered physiotherapists represent the gold standard in animal rehabilitation practitioners and the LCRC is very lucky to have Maeve on board.

Maeve is fully involved in the initial planning of an animal's rehabilitation programme be it post surgical, for management of locomotory problems such as arthritis and developmental orthopaedic disease or indeed simple weight loss protocols. Equally owners will see Maeve on a regular basis while their pet visits the LCRC to ensure the programme is going strictly to plan.
