Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre
Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre offers a range of services to treat various conditions in dogs, often without the need for drugs, in partnership with Hills, the leading veterinary diet manufacturer with a range of formulated diets which employ best science as a nutritional aid to management of weight and mobility related issues.
These services include specific pre and post-operative therapeutic programmes, weight loss and fitness plans and arthritis management.
These programmes will be specifically designed around your pet and may include sessions in separate therapies all available in the same facility as described on this site i.e. hydrotherapy (using our uderwater treadmill and dog swimming pool), physiotherapy and acupuncture.
All these services are available in one purpose built centre where highly trained staff will cater for your pet’s every need in as calm and reassuring manner possible. All the equipment used in the Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre is specifically designed for animal use and all the care possible is taken to ensure an enjoyable experience for all. Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre appreciates that the rehabilitation of an injured pet can be a stressful time for owners and strives to assist at all stages in the process.
These services are available not only to clients of the Links Veterinary Group but also to any clients who wish to visit the centre with their pets either as directed by their own veterinary surgeon or as a direct wish on the owner’s part for one of the treatments on offer. We stress however that a referral from a client’s own vet for medical or surgical problems will allow the best possible treatment plan to be put in place.
Appointments are available at Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre by arrangement and, after initial consultation with one of our staff members, it may be possible in the near future to take advantage of an online booking facility in order to organise the required number of sessions around the client’s busy lifestyle.
Lothian Canine Rehabilitation Centre will also be groundbreaking in its use of digital imaging to allow analysis of the way your pet is moving and this should prove invaluable in demonstrating improvement in gait as a consequence of decreased pain levels after a course of treatment.
